Short Description
Foss Waterway Seaport’s Science on the Sea Marine and Environmental Science Expedition - Wednesday, June 20th from 5 to 8 PM! Learn moreCome aboard the M/V Curtis with UW-Tacoma Environmental Science and other experts for the South Sound’s most exciting, hands-on boat-based adventure! Bring your family, friends, work colleagues, or church group to explore:
- How do YOUR daily habits affect marine creatures?
- Why are microplastics in soaps? How do they hurt our waterways?
- What is plankton? How does it affect YOU?
- What can YOU do to protect Puget Sound?
Come learn the environmental stewardship and working waterfront history that makes our region great and yet presents challenges in preserving our marine treasures for our children. Spend a delightful summer evening on the water rich with discovery. Who knew that using Crest Pro Active Toothpaste, Dial Liquid Hand Soap and other personal care products is sending harmful microplastics down our drains – plastics that are mistaken for food, ingested by plankton, and getting into our food web??
Register for this June 20th event and learn what else we can do to clean up Puget Sound! Register today!
